If you care to know...

Example

Obtain the value of Kc for the following reaction at a temperature 300 K using the following data.  A 1.355-mol sample of PCl5 was placed into a 5.00 L and allowed to reach equilibrium.  At equilibrium the mixture was found to contain 0.188 mol of Cl2
PCl5(g) <==> PCl3(g) + Cl2(g
We will set up a table similar to the ones we used in the previous topic, except this time we want molar concentrations instead of moles.  This is because we need molar concentrations in the equilibrium constant expression.  From the information given in the problem, the initial concentration of PCl5 is 1.355 mol / 5.00 L = 0.271 M and the equilibrium concentration of  Cl2 is 0.188 mol / 5.00 L = 0.0376 M.  Now we can build our table.
Concentrations(M)PCl5(g)<==>PCl3(g)
+
Cl2(g)
Starting0.27100
Change-x+x+x
Equilibrium0.271 - xxx = 0.0.0376

Thus the equilibrium concentrations will be [PCl
5] = (0.271 - x) M = (0.271 - 0.038) M = 0.233 M and [PCl3] = [Cl2] = 0.0376.  Next we will set up theequilibrium constant expression and plug in these values.
     [PCl3][Cl2]
Kc = -----------
       [PCl5]
     [0.0376][0.0376]
Kc = ---------------   = 6.07 x 10-3
         [0.233]

new humble la bode

Hello friends!

I am so happy to say that I am finally moved into my new home! This house is dreamy and so perfect for my last year of college. I still have a ton of unpacking to do but here a little sneak peak!

The before pictures:

Awkward Me:
-homemade popcorn and suddenly realized I had no salt
-no silverware, eating with my hands is both sanitary and attractive
-watching True life: I can't have sex (really mtv?)
-being the only person who laughs at my professors jokes
-turning really red when I say something brilliant (not) in class
-pocket dialing my doctor while singing really loud in my car

Goals of this weekend:
-have a picnic
-made a pizza from scratch
-gym every morning
-get over jet lag (love waking up at 6 am wide awake)

Good morning, this is God

My little sister sent me this encouraging text message yesterday that I wanted to share

Good morning. This is God. Today, I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If the devil happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFJTD (stuff for Jesus to do) box. It will be addressed in MY TIME, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it or remove it. Holding on or removal will delay the resolution of your problem. If it is a situation that you think you are capable of handling, please consult me in prayer to be sure that it is the proper resolution. Because I do not sleep nor do I slumber, there is no need for you to lose any sleep. rest my child. if you need to contact me, I am only a prayer away.

thank you mo :) i love you.
