Buenos Dias!
On our first excursion we traveled to El Escorial and Segovia. The first stop was El Escorial which is a castle/monastery for King of Spain many years ago. Our tour may have lasted a little too long but it was very entertaining and beautiful.
The group (minus a few)
Oh and we thought it would be funny to take a picture of the smallest (me) and the tallest (brie) people on the trip and this is what we came up with......
yes...i know its more sad than funny.
My favorite part was the garden (in the picture below)
Even though it was off limits, it had such beautiful patterns and the colors are breathtaking.
The 2nd stop was in Segovia which reminded me a little bit of Tuscany. so beautiful.
isn't it gorgeous..ahhh
the castle (or cathhhle with a little spit; no one understands what the english word castle is)
The Cathedral
and here are some pictures from the night before...out with some friends!
Long night...my friend Erin got her wallet stolen out of her purse and we couldn't find the right bus until sunrise. Lesson learned, its bus 23 not 21 or 22.
Tomorrow is our next trip to Toledo, so I am so looking forward to a little of this...
xox love, rachie
